Zlatan Crljenak could also be called Zlatan Zinfandel, which foreign fans of this variety would surely know from. But, crljenak is original Croatian variety that became very popular in the United States. Zlatan Crljenak is intensely ruby wine with a pronounced varietal aroma that varies from discreet floral to strong fruity aromas. Some gentle tannins compared to Plavac Mali wines. Complex, full, pleasant wine with a long finish.

With red meat, inevitably with lamb, goat and pašticada (slow-cooked beef prepared in a rich red sweet and sour sauce). Also with blue fish, tuna, mackerel and sardines dishes and other grilled seafood delicacies.
