Degarra

Degarra winery was founded in 2012 in the vicinity of Zadar, from the meeting and friendship of the Pestić and Šulentić families, which a chance encounter turned into a shared passion for wine. The name Degarra is derived from the French expression " Vin de Garage ", a term that denotes small, passionate producers dedicated exclusively to quality, not quantity, a philosophy that this winery deliberately incorporated into its own identity so that production would never grow into a mere business. The grapes for Degarra's wines come from the best locations in Ravni Kotari and from its own vineyard on Bokanjac , where the principle is respected that wine is created first in the vineyard and only then refined in the cellar. Each wine carries a limited, almost personal note, and the labels are symbolically united by the circle of words "passion, desire, dedication, work, admiration, pleasure, ecstasy", written on the bottle labels. It is precisely such dedication to detail that has made Degarra one of the most interesting small wine projects in the Zadar region, recognized beyond the borders of Croatia.
