Coca-Cola is the most popular and best-selling soft drink in history, as well as one of the most recognizable brands in the world.
It was created by Dr. John S. Pemberton in 1886 in Atlanta, Georgia. Initially, it was dispensed as a mixture of Coca-Cola syrup and sparkling water at Jacob's Pharmacy.
The Coca-Cola drink was patented in 1887, registered as a trademark in 1893, and by 1895 it was on sale throughout the USA.
