Canard Champagne House Duchêne was born in 1860 from the union of two people and their passion for wine, cooper Victor Canard and winemaker Léonie Duchêne , whose marriage laid the foundation for the house that today bears their name. Unlike most famous champagne houses based in Reims or Épernay , Canard Duchêne is located in Ludes , in the heart of the Montagne de Reims region , from where it draws the character of its vineyards and the pinot noir grape that has always been the heart of its blends . Today Canard Duchêne is the fourth largest champagne house in France by sales volume and the fifth most popular by customers, with more than 3.8 million bottles sold annually in over 50 countries worldwide.
