Don Ramón Cristalino Platinium Añejo tequila is double distilled and after distillation it is aged in American and French oak barrels for 12 months. It is made exclusively from 100% blue agave from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. A longer aging time in oak barrels results in a smooth, richer taste, but also a robust aromatic profile in which well-defined buttery and aromatic notes predominate. A sip reveals an abundance of spices and wood, while longer aging contributed to more pronounced notes of nuts and vanilla complemented by tones of cocoa and cinnamon. After aging in oak barrels, the tequila undergoes the Cristlino filtration process to remove color and bitterness, resulting in a smooth taste and a long-lasting velvety finish.
