Steinriegl is a southwestern steep position next to the village of Weissenkirchen. The terroir is characterized by the proximity of the forest and cool terraced soils rich in limestone and silicates. Wines from this position offer a firm texture, elegance and attractive taste. Rich, intense, on the nose an abundance of white flowers and apricot with subtle notes of spices and elderflower. The aromas continue on the palate, a multi-layered wine, balanced, fresh, fantastically balanced with notes of aromatic fruit. A very elegant Riesling with character and strength.

It goes well with Mediterranean cuisine, brudette, fish soups or with grilled shark or poultry in aromatic sauces. Ideal with sushi, sashimi, but also with fried dishes such as shrimp in tempura. Of the traditional Austrian dishes, it goes well with dishes such as grilled trout, salad with sheep's or goat's cheese, or with baked carp.
