Barceló Imperial Maple Cask is part of the exceptional Rare Blends collection of Barceló rums. It is made from the purest juice of the finest selection of Dominican sugar cane, grown on our own properties. The final blend is the result of aging several rums for up to 10 years in oak barrels with different degrees of burning, carefully selected by our master coopers.
Once the blend of rums has been selected, Maple Cask is aged in used bourbon casks to which maple wood chips are added to accentuate the complexity and achieve the unique rich flavor that defines this sumptuous rum.
With a fruity, silky style, Barceló Imperial Maple Cask is created to fascinate the most sophisticated palates.
Dark amber-brown color with reddish tones. In the glass you can see a full, powerful texture with almost oily traces. On the nose, aromas of fruit and flowers, followed by pleasant hints of melted caramel, plum, vanilla and maple syrup. On the palate, a sweet start that quickly moves to notes of wood and dried fruit, fantastically balanced with a very long silky finish.
