Haiku5 stands as the successor to the platinum-winning Haiku2 and Haiku4, representing the pinnacle of our dedication to winemaking. Born in the vineyard from carefully selected grapes from as many as 5 different varieties. Our commitment to quality begins with the precise hand-harvesting of these select grapes, ensuring that only the best grapes reach Haiku. Once in the cellar, these grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation, allowing nature to lead. After that, Haiku5 embarks on a maceration journey, where it spends 30 days delving into its own complexity, extracting depth and character from the skins of the grapes. But the journey doesn't end there, after maceration, Haiku5 is aged for 2 years in tonneau barrels, where it matures and develops, absorbing nuances of delicate oak while harmonizing its flavors. The grapes for Haiku come from the location of Gorička, which is surrounded by the delicate beauty of Japanese cherry trees. Join us in experiencing haiku poetry, where every sip is a verse and every bottle is a masterpiece. It is characterized by an orange, almost oily thick color, deeply colored with lively reflections that hint at liveliness in the taste. The first aroma, rich in intensity, exudes the freshness of ripe tangerines combined with the fine scent of honeycomb. The pleasant smell of pollen of spring yellow flowers and honey. Excellent aroma quality, after a few minutes herbal aromas rise, such as dried thyme and dried oregano. Nice freshness in the mouth, excellent quality and clean taste. The fruitiness of red orange, tangerine and beeswax in the taste. A delicious and long finish dominated by delicious orange. When the sensation of fine tannin recedes from the tactile part of the tongue, a pleasant minerality remains, which gives an additional sense of enjoyment of drinking.

Serve it in a tulip glass, not too big so that the aromas don't evaporate excessively beyond our senses, at 14 degrees Celsius. Haiku5 will be best swallowed in the oral cavity with food of medium to full structure, which is more intermuscularly fatty. It comes to the market at an excellent time, so it is not necessary to irradiate it through a decanter.

We are proud and delighted to say that Haiku5 surpasses its predecessors, becoming, with the help of the 2021 vintage and the marvelous terroir of Plešivica, probably the best performance of our Haiku wine line so far.
