Description
The Haiku line has its continuation, Haiku4, the successor to the platinum and sold-out Haiku2, a wine harvested from selected grapes of four varieties, one of which is Rhine Riesling, the other Pinot Noir, and the rest will remain a little secret. After manual harvesting and spontaneous fermentation, Haiku4 goes through maceration on olive oil for 30 days, and then aging for one year in tonneau barrels. The wine comes out unfiltered.
Haiku4 has a softer texture, less tannins and leaves a more elegant impression than its predecessor. The main feature of this wine is the playful contrast of vibrant Riesling with the red fruit of Pinot Noir. In addition, Haiku4 is emphatically fresh, full of both high and low volumes.
The name of the wine Haiku has several links, Haiku is a simple but profound form of poetry that speaks of the connection between nature and human experience, and that is precisely this wine, the terroir of Plešivica and the experience of 35 years of work in the cellar and vineyard. Also, the vineyard where the grapes for Haiku ripen is surrounded by a multitude of Japanese cherries, which with their pink flowers give the vine a beautiful and unique environment, encouraging it to give its best. The spirit of Japanese precision and calmness can also be seen in this wine.
