Zacapa rum is considered one of the best in the world. It matures and mixes in "House Above the Clouds", at 2300 meters above sea level. Fresh mountain air slows aging, allowing Zacapa to rest and develop character. Zacapa uses a unique Soler System, process based on a century-old way of maturing - the old Spanish way of maturing sherry, combining rum of different ages in a series of barrels where American whiskey, sweet sherry and fine Pedro Ximenez wines were previously stored.
