Madame Clicquot innovated and completely reconstructed the production process of Rosé champagne of that time. More than two centuries ago, pink champagnes were produced by adding and mixing older fruits. But this method did not satisfy Madame Clicquot, who had a bold, new vision in which colours, flavours and aromas were vital to quality. So she re-created the Rosé champagne production process. Madame Clicquot was very fond of red wine made from grapes from the Bouzy region of Champagne, and produced her own red wine from the area. Inspired by this wine she loved, in 1818 she decided to blend it with more white wine. Her talent was created by the first known pink champagne of enchanting taste: Veuve Clicquot Rosé. Today, as in 1818, Veuve Clicquot Rosé is produced in a way by adding red wine, according to the method as Madame Clicquot did 200 years ago. This traditional savoir-faire allows you to create a superb rosé cuvée, full of flavor and elegance.
Ideal as an aperitif and perfect with salmon dishes, caviar or fish tartar.
