Jagunić Three Stars Brut. Why 3 Stars? The grapes come from 3 vineyards and the composition is Chardonnay, Rajnski Riesling and old varieties from Plešivice. Winemaker about his wine: "Brut, a classic method of second fermentation in the bottle. Chardonnay, Rhenish Riesling and old varieties from Plešivice provided the base wine for this sparkling wine, the first from the Jagunić winery, which they introduced in 2016. Each variety, or combination of varieties, came from its "own" vineyard in the famous Hrvojko location in Plešivice. It smells extremely mature, you can feel that it has been in the second fermentation in the bottle for 18 months. But it also has freshness. Through the smell of brioche and bread crust, the first green apple, which is on the verge of ripeness, comes through, there are citrus fruits, mainly lime, and then the delicate smell of pineapple arrives. The taste is rich and delicious. It's equally good from any tall glass on the rack, if only it had a chubbier body and a narrower top. It doesn't even have to be very cold, it's tasty even at the usual temperature for white wines, and it can be drunk almost always: with richly flavored white fish such as black bream or large sea bream, cold meat roasts with lots of vegetables or in intimate company before going to rest."
Jagunić Three Stars Brut is recommended to consume with appetizers, aperitifs, grill vegetables and vegetables.
