Barceló Imperial is a blend of rums aged up to 10 years aged in used bourbon barrels. It has twice been voted "World's Best Rum" by the Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago, and holds the title of the first rum ever to enter the top-rated spirits with a score of 97 out of 100. It is best described as organoleptic harmony and balance. on the eye, nose and palate. It has a light copper-gold color, on the nose we find an aromatic profile interwoven with the smell of dried cherries, intense aromas of vanilla, pineapple jam and caramelized walnuts. The finish is complex, long-lasting, decorated with the aromas of carrot cake, walnut bark, mocha and the pronounced taste of bread crust that lasts for a long time and slowly disappears.
